Rebecca. Many thanks for your search into George Washington. I have been to Mt. Vernon and Valley Forge but many decades ago. I truly enjoyed your treatment of his more private life and what transpired during those times of solitude and reflection as the burden of his responsibilities of leadership came one after the other. Particularly touching is his relationship to his older brother Lawrence and the early death of his father. Grief had a work in him that is undeniable.

One thing I must enquire about since becoming aware of the presence of this face of evil in the land. In your research is there any evidence in Gen.Washington's life particularly during his political life/career extending into his Presidency, of his membership in the Freemasons? I have read accounts of the presence of this pernicious influence notably within Washington's life but in the lives of American leadership during this delicate generative time in our nations founding. Did you find any reason to see this, if true, as an early influence in the subtle beginnings of rebellion and even insurrection right at the nation's beginning? Freemasonry has infiltrated the highest levels of human government around the globe. If it had gotten a foothold so early on in this nations' origins then it remains today an evil force and is part of the moments between in the fabric of our Once Grand Republic. Your thoughts?
