Understanding and using our governmental system for it's intended purpose is essential. That system is designed to deliver peace and prosperity to a nation.

There is a problem with this system, though. When the people who have taken charge no longer desire the intended benefits of the governmental system, it will not yield those benefits. The system only works when it is used for it's intended purpose. The system is now broken because it is being used for other purposes. As such, the people who are using the governmental system for other purposes are the enemy of the nation.

If the system can not be restored to it's original function, then there is only one outcome possible. That outcome is tyranny followed by revolution. Given the uncertainty of the one, it is advisable to prepare for the other, before that time arrives.

Would the western states have joined the union if big cities in other states controlled all national decisions? We are a democratic republic because that form better protects the state and local governments.
